Dr. Richard T. Stone

Research Interests 

The core of Dr. Stone’s research is in human augmentation and human performance enhancement in both physical and mental domains. He employs multiple approaches towards this goal, including cognitive and physiological engineering, classical and experimental ergonomics, augmented reality, and the incorporation and application of new technologies. Dr. Stone’s past research has involved the development of design methodologies for AR and multisensory devices, telerobotic control system development, the application of biomechanics for improved sports performance and the development of visualization tools for improving battle space awareness.

Tom Schnieders

Research Interests

Tom is interested in the design, development, and manufacturing of exoskeletons, prosthesis, and orthoses, especially as a tool for learning and for human augmentation. His research and interests include many domains including traditional ergonomics and human factors, industrial engineering, bioengineering, biomechanics, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, and materials engineering. Past research involves augmented reality and virtual reality applications, ergonomic standards and assessments, and robotics.
